About Beijing

Welcome to a capital city that is constantly reimagining itself as it races into the future and whose story goes back at least 3000 years. Beijing is China’s cultural and political center and the nation’s second largest city. Travel here to find an abundance of history. Beijing (formerly Peking) has modern marvels as well as ancient temples and gardens woven throughout the city. The easiest ways to get around are by taxi or the subway; however, we do encourage renting a bike, as it will help you see more of Beijing and help you understand the locals as well as the layout of this massive metropolis. Points of interest include, but are not limited to: the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven Park, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Tiananmen Square, Silk & Dirt Market, and of course the Great Wall.
